Here's the thing. I'm a regular mom, with a regular, crazy busy mom life, just like you. I have a cool little family and I love them to death. I became a health coach because I know how important it is to take care of myself, so I can take the best care of my family that I possibly can.
I'm not a fitness guru with a perfect body (by any stretch!), nor am I a nutritionist with a perfect diet eating perfectly 100% of the time (who does that?). You don't need to be those things either.
I am a healthy woman, I maintain a healthy weight and I absolutely love food! I love to cook and experiment and eat and share. I exercise regularly (but I too, get caught up in the day to day craziness and find myself having to be reminded to make time for it sometimes). When I let things go for too long, I get fat. Just like everyone else. The key, I have learned, is awareness. And not letting it get out of hand.
I am committed to helping busy mom's who think they can't fit healthy eating and exercise into their whirlwind of a schedule, do just that. I feel so strongly that dieting and fads and pain and suffering are not only unnecessary, but a horrible way to go about it.
Remember the family. What's good for you is good for them and vice versa. Sports and physical activity are not just for the kids and healthy eating habits are not just for women who are trying to lose weight. Our kids learn a hell of a lot more by our actions than our words, so I think it's time we lead by example and start feeling great, and being our best while making it part of everyday life.
